1. How does my deductible work?
For an example, if your deductible is $500.00 and you have an insurable claim that is over $500.00, you would be responsible for paying the first $500.00 of the claim. The Insurance Company would pay the balance of the claim
If your deductible is $200.00 and you have an insurance claim that is over $200.00 you would be responsible for paying the first $200.00 of the claim. The Insurance Company would pay the balance of the claim. However, the cost of lowering your insurance policy deductible to $200.00 is greater. The price and availability varies from company to company.
2. When do I lose my claims free discount?
The claims free discount is lost after your first claim. You must then remain claims free for a period of 3 years before you requalify.

3. I have a claim on my auto extension policy. What do I do?
Take your vehicle to an M.P.I repair center for a written report of damages. Take this report to your auto repair dealer and advise them that you have an auto extension policy with Winnipeg Insurance brokers. They will contact us to confirm coverage. Upon completion of repairs, they will collect the deductible from you and bill Winnipeg Insurance Brokers and M.P.I. accordingly.
4. How do I qualify for your group insurance program?
If you are an MTS employee, a Teacher, an Air Canada Pilot, a professional such as a Doctor, Lawyer, Accountant, etc. you may be eligible. Contact our office for more information.
5. What is the difference between a broad form and comprehensive residential insurance policy?

A broad form policy offers comprehensive (all risks) coverage on your building and basic coverage (named perils) on your personal belongings. A comprehensive policy offers comprehensive coverage on both building and personal belongings.
