Annual Client Feedback Grand Prize Draw

Official Contest Rules

PLEASE READ THESE RULES CAREFULLY. BY ENTERING THE CONTEST, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES.

1. Contest Sponsor
The Annual Client Feedback Grand Prize Draw (the “Contest”) is sponsored Winnipeg Insurance Brokers Ltd. located in Winnipeg, Manitoba (the “Sponsor”).

2. Contest Period
The Contest begins at 12:00 a.m. Central Time annually on January 1, and ends at 11:59 p.m. Central Time annually on December 31. (the “Contest Period”).

3. Eligibility
The Contest is open to legal residents of Manitoba who have reached the age of majority in Manitoba at the time of entry.
Employees, officers, directors, representatives and agents of the Sponsor, as well as members of their immediate families and persons residing in the same household, are not eligible to enter.

For the purposes of these Rules, “immediate family” means spouse, parent, child and sibling.

The Sponsor reserves the right to require proof of identity and eligibility.

4. How to Enter
There are two ways to enter the Contest.

A. Client Survey Entry
Eligible clients who receive a Client Experience Survey from the Sponsor may complete and submit the survey during the Contest Period and indicate that they wish to be entered into the Grand Prize draw.
A completed eligible entry will receive one (1) entry into the Contest.
Survey responses, including whether feedback is positive or negative, will not affect an entrant’s eligibility or chances of winning.

B. No-Purchase Entry
No purchase is necessary to enter or win.
To enter without purchasing insurance, an eligible individual may send provide their feedback to the Sponsor at any time during the Contest Period.

For example:
Send an email to info@wpgins.ca with the subject line “Annual Client Feedback Grand Prize Draw Entry” and include your full name, telephone number, email address and confirmation that you are a legal resident of Manitoba and have reached the age of majority. You will then receive an email with a link to the survey to complete.

Each eligible no-purchase entry will receive one (1) entry into the Contest.

Limit of one (1) entry per person per Contest Period, regardless of method of entry.

No automated, bulk, third-party or fraudulent entries will be accepted.

5. The Prize
There is one (1) Grand Prize available to be won during each contest period, with an approximate retail value of $500 CAD

The prize must be accepted as awarded and cannot be substituted, transferred or redeemed for cash, except at the Sponsor’s discretion.
Any costs or expenses associated with accepting or using the prize that are not expressly included in the prize description are the responsibility of the winner.

6. Odds of Winning
The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period.
Every eligible entry has an equal chance of being selected in the random draw.

7. Winner Selection
One (1) potential winner will be selected by random draw from all eligible entries received during the Contest Period.

The draw will take place on or about January 10 at the Head Office location.

The selected entrant will be contacted using the contact information provided with their entry.

8. Skill-Testing Question
Before being declared the winner, the selected entrant must correctly answer, without assistance, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question administered by the Sponsor.

Failure to correctly answer the skill-testing question will result in disqualification, and another eligible entrant may be selected by random draw.

9. Contacting the Selected Entrant
The Sponsor will make reasonable attempts to contact the selected entrant using the contact information provided.

The selected entrant must respond within five (5) business days of the Sponsor’s first attempt to contact them.

If the selected entrant:

  • cannot be contacted;
  • does not respond within the required period;
  • does not meet the eligibility requirements;
  • fails to correctly answer the skill-testing question;
  • declines the prize;
  • or otherwise fails to comply with these Official Contest Rules,

the selected entrant will be disqualified and the Sponsor may select another eligible entrant by random draw.

This process may continue until an eligible winner is confirmed.

10. Winner Confirmation and Release
Before being declared the official winner, the selected entrant may be required to sign and return a declaration and release confirming:

  • their eligibility;
  • compliance with these Official Contest Rules;
  • acceptance of the prize as awarded; and
  • any other reasonable conditions required by the Sponsor in connection with awarding the prize.

The winner may also be asked whether they consent to the Sponsor announcing their name in connection with the Contest.

Any publicity or use of the winner’s name, image or other personal information will be subject to applicable privacy requirements and any required consent.

11. Survey Feedback and Testimonials
Participation in the Contest does not require a participant to provide positive feedback.

A participant’s survey rating, NPS score or comments will not increase or decrease their chances of winning.

Survey feedback will be used by the Sponsor to understand and improve the client experience and recognize areas of strong performance.

If the Sponsor wishes to use an individual’s comments as a public testimonial, review or endorsement, the Sponsor will obtain any required permission separately.

Entering the Contest does not, by itself, constitute permission for the Sponsor to publicly use an entrant’s survey comments as a testimonial.

12. Privacy
Personal information collected in connection with the Contest will be used for the purposes of administering the Contest, confirming eligibility, contacting selected entrants, awarding the prize and otherwise administering the Contest in accordance with these Official Contest Rules.

Personal information collected through the client survey may also be used to evaluate and improve the Sponsor’s products, services and client experience in accordance with the Sponsor’s Privacy Policy.

13. General Conditions
The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who:

  • violates these Official Contest Rules;
  • provides false or misleading information;
  • attempts to enter more frequently than permitted;
  • tampers or attempts to tamper with the Contest or entry process; or
  • otherwise acts in a manner that compromises the fairness or integrity of the Contest.

The Sponsor is not responsible for entries that are lost, late, incomplete, misdirected, corrupted or not received because of technical, communications or other problems beyond the Sponsor’s reasonable control.

If circumstances beyond the Sponsor’s reasonable control affect the proper administration, security or integrity of the Contest, the Sponsor reserves the right, subject to applicable law, to modify, suspend or terminate the Contest.

Any changes will not affect prizes already legitimately awarded.

14. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Sponsor will not be responsible for any loss, damage or injury arising from participation in the Contest or the acceptance, possession or use of the prize, except where such liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

Nothing in these Official Contest Rules limits any rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived or excluded.

15. Governing Law
The Contest and these Official Contest Rules are governed by the applicable laws of the Province of Manitoba and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.

16. Decisions of the Sponsor
Subject to applicable law, decisions of the Sponsor concerning the administration of the Contest and interpretation of these Official Contest Rules are final.
